Government guidance on the wearing of face coverings when travelling on Public Transport

"The Government’s guidance in connection with the wearing of face coverings in public in England does provide exemption from the requirements for person who has a physical or mental illness or impairment, or a disability that means you cannot put on, wear or remove a face covering. The responsibility for issuing exemptions is with your public transport provider certificate of exemption and your GP is unable to provider. Your GP is unable to provide a specific letter or certificate with respect to this.

Please contact you transport provider it will issue you with an exemption card. These are easy to obtain and in most cases these can be downloaded from you transport provider’s website."
