Patients can now self refer themselves to the Midwives by calling 01695 656924. The midwives will initially arrange a booking appointment which will usually take place on a Friday. Subsequent antenatal appointments can be made on a Tuesday.
The Practice Nurses and GPs provide advice and support to all parents of new babies and children under 5. They run regular well baby clinics and see children by appointment for development checks and immunisations.
- Immunisation Clinic by appointment
We provide a comprehensive range of contraceptive options.
Contraception can be discussed and provided in consultation with any doctor and with several of our nurses.
We are happy to discuss contraceptive pills, injectable contraceptives and barrier methods (e.g. condoms) in routine surgeries. However, many women are increasingly choosing long-acting forms of contraception including contraceptive implants and coils. Further information of these can be provided in the surgery but these are routinely fitted in the family planning clinic.
Health Check Clinics
In line with government policy the practice offers all 40-75 years olds a ' Health Check' if they do not already suffer from Hypertension, Chronic Kidney Disease, Ischaemic Heart Disease or have a history of a stroke.
This includes an assessment of your cardiovascular risk and advice about lifestyle.
Long Term Conditions
On-going treatment and advice is available to patients with heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, asthma and chronic obstructive airways disease (COPD).
We will check our registers and recall those patients who have not been seen for regular check-ups.
